Komplettes Set von 52 Bänden, jeweils einer für jede Woche des Jahres. Mit diesem auf 500 Exemplare limitierten Werk schuf Jim Dine ein einzigartiges Dokument seines künstlerischen und privaten Lebens und Denkens. Die Bände enthalten Collagen, einige mit Malereien und Zeichnungen, andere mit Fotografien, Texten, Notizen etc. Der letzte Band mit dem Titel "Dine, Himself" zeigt Porträts des Künstlers in unterschiedlichen Techniken und Stilen. - "This Hot Dream first appeared as an idea 3 years ago. Steidl embraced and blessed the project so I went ahead. I stewed about it for 2 years [...]. My method, as in all my work is the use of the collage, painting and drawing, and correcting; coupled with my writing and my untouched photographs. The fact of making a book a week and the sensual possibilities i.e. the act of making a union with humans through the smell of the ink on the paper, the feel of the images and words.
