A rare and unique edition of this silhouette picture book, illustrated based on Chaplin’s silent comedy *The Circus*, which premiered in New York on 6 January 1928. Adolf Uzarski (1885–1970) ‘… is one of the few compelling examples of Expressionist art in children’s literature’ (H. A. Halbey in Doderer LKJ, Supplementary Volume, p. 526).
