(The cover is slightly scuffed and bumped, and dusty. There are some dust marks and fingerprints in places. The rear flyleaf is torn, and there is browning on the reverse of the last plate at that point.)
Ries 585, 15 and 590.1. Klotz, Supplement 10922/1. – The front cover shows a globe with the German ‘protectorates’ in Africa and Asia marked in red. The illustrations depict, amongst other things, a German warship, predators and wild animals, as well as the local inhabitants at work and during their leisure time, and their stilt houses and dwellings.
