Petrarca, Franceso: Sonetti, canzoni e triomphi. Con la spositione di Bernardino Daniello da Lucca. Venedig: Fratelli de Nicolini da Sabio für G. Pederzano 1549. 20,2 x 14,5 cm. With a title page border featuring a monogram, 6 woodcut text illustrations and numerous monogram initials. 11 unnumbered, 237 numbered, 3 unnumbered leaves (sections: *⁸, **⁴, A–Z⁸, AA–GG⁸). Modern half-leather binding with gilded spine title.
(Rubbed, joints broken. Title page with a burn hole and loss of text, with handwritten notes and a mounted call number. 4 leaves with marginal notes in brown ink. Leaf L⁶ with several tears in the margins that have been taped over; L⁷ with a tear in the margin and rubbing on the text block on the reverse. P⁷ with a section of text printed over in the quotations section. BB⁸ has a tear in the margin that has been taped over. GG¹ has been reinforced at the spine on the reverse. The last 3 leaves have numerous defects and missing sections; the printer’s mark is missing. Slightly browned, with damp edges, foxing in places and minor paper defects.)
