(The slipcase shows minimal wear. The interior has finger marks, dust, slight foxing and water stains in places. The title page has residue from an adhesive strip. A portrait at the bottom edge is marked in pencil. On the reverse of folio E¹, two names are handwritten in brown ink. The frontispiece is missing, as is another plate which is present in a comparable copy held by the Russian State Library.)

A rare edition of the statutes of the Order of the Red Eagle, founded in 1705 by Georg Wilhelm of Brandenburg-Bayreuth and revised in 1734 by Georg Friedrich Karl. It contains the order’s statutory provisions and ceremonial regulations.
