A comprehensive and meticulously compiled handbook on fruit tree cultivation with a strongly practical focus, offering a systematic introduction to the theoretical principles as well as the practical care, grafting and cultivation of various fruit tree species. - Peter Haarlander (d. 1886), a Catholic priest, initially in Moosen and later in Schwabhausen near Dachau in Upper Bavaria, was a member of the Agricultural Association of Bavaria (now the Bavarian Farmers’ Association) and the Horticultural Society of Frauendorf. In addition to fruit tree cultivation, he also wrote works on beekeeping. - First and only edition. Extremely rare; only a few copies are known to exist in German public libraries.
