Japanese souvenir album. Japan ca. 1900. Bound in Leporello style, with a total of 20 mounted, coloured albumin prints on both sides. Inlaid, varnished wooden cover with painted illustrations of trees and figures, slightly raised.

(The cover has minor tears on the back cover. The inside is slightly stained and the photographs have been brightened.)

A Japanese souvenir album containing various mounted photographs, including men and women in traditional dress, a view of the Himi Pass (Himitoge) near Nagasaki, a bamboo forest, what appears to be the sacred stable building at Toshogu Shrine in Nikko, and the harbour of Nagasaki.
