Japan.- Privates Fotoalbum in Leporelloform mit 50 montierten Fotos. Japan: ca. 1880-1900. 11,4 x 3,3 cm (unfolded 437,5 cm). 50 coloured albumin prints. Wooden lid covered with strips of linen.
(The cover cloth is tattered and has some significant tears. The endpapers and backing boards are slightly stained with brown spots. Some of the endpapers are loose.)
The illustrations include Mount Fuji, the Nigiwai-za Theatre in Yokohama, the Great Buddha of Kamakura, the Yomeimon Gate at Nikko Tosho-gu Shrine, what is thought to be the foreign quarter in Yokohama, as well as scenes of daily life and places of interest.
