NDB VII, 205. Not found in Yakushi. - Published as Volume XVIII in the ‘Bibliotheca Buddhica’ series. The German Indologist, Tibetologist and archaeologist Grünwedel (1856–1935) examines the development of the Buddhist pantheon in India and provides a systematic account of the Tibetan-Mongolian Buddhist pantheon and its iconography. Here, however, he acts ‘merely’ as a translator.
