No. 138 of 400 copies – Publication of the Prussian Turfan expeditions with the support of the Bäsler Institute. - A major work by Director Professor Dr Grünwedel (1856–1935), who was a member of the Russian and Bavarian Academies of Sciences and Director of the Ethnological Museum in Berlin. Among other things, he organised, alongside Le Coq, the first and third of the four German Turfan expeditions in 1902–03 and 1905–07.
