Bond on parchment. 1370. 1 sheet. Written in Bastarda script in black ink. 15.4 x 20.7 cm. With wax seal.
(Folded several times. Verso shows traces of mounting and has dust stains. 4 small water stains.)
Concerning Hausneindorf Castle. – The ‘Burg zu Neundorf’ in what is now Hausneindorf (Harz district in Saxony-Anhalt) was founded around 1140 by Henry the Lion in the County of Blankenburg. After the castle was destroyed in 1168, it was rebuilt in 1172. It later came into the possession of the Bishopric of Halberstadt. The castle was first mentioned in a document in 1310, when it was held as a pledge by the Counts of Regenstein.
