Henze III, 542 (first edition erroneously dated 1886). – First edition of the illustrated travelogue. Heinrich Moser (1844–1923) travelled through Central Asia from Tashkent from September 1883 onwards. His book “is rich in vivid depictions of local customs and is also valuable as a reflection of conditions in Turkestan as they prevailed immediately after the Russian occupation”.
