Includes 1 original etching (state print/proof) and 17 wash drawings in ink (14 full-page) by Helmuth Grundner, all signed or monogrammed. Parchment with a handwritten title on the spine, featuring a watercolour illustration on the front cover and a watercolour vignette on the back cover; in a slipcase.
The German printed edition, translated by Meyerfeld, was published by S. Fischer in 1925. A beautiful calligraphic manuscript on Zanders laid paper produced especially for this purpose, featuring elegant illustrations. The calligrapher Peter Wolbrandt worked primarily as a commercial artist (see Th.-B. 36, 183 ff.).
