Raabe, Liter. Expr. 21, 16. – First edition. – Adolf Behne (1885–1948) studied architecture and art history, was a friend of Herwarth Walden and Paul Scheerbart, and a contributor to ‘Sturm’. As an art critic, he was an advocate of modern architecture and painting and taught as a private lecturer at the University of Berlin until 1933, when he was offered a professorship at the Academy of Fine Arts by Carl Hofer in 1945.
