With a title plate, 139 copper plates (nos. 2–140), and a final plate bearing the names of the printer and engravers. Half-leather on 5 bands with a back label and back embellishment

A rare illustrated volume accompanying the Ovid paraphrase published in Augsburg in 1802, printed here with wide margins on sturdy laid paper. According to the colophon, the engravers include G. Seiter, G. L. Hertel, J. F. Rein, C. Thelott, and others; J. G. Hertel (exc.) apparently served as the printer. The plates were engraved based on the famous copper engravings from the Paris edition of 1767–71.
