Village schoolmaster with three pupils. Etching on laid paper. Sheet size 11,5 x 9,6 cm; plate 9,2 x 8,4 cm. Godefroy 17; New Hollstein 48, I (v. III). – First printing state, marked ‘rare’ by Godefroy, predating any later alterations by third parties and showing traces of oxidation typical of this printing state. A strong impression with a deep plate margin.
(Wide margins. Minimal signs of age. Left margin backed with paper from a previous mount. Further traces of mounting on the reverse.)
