Modern brown leather with gold-stamped title on the cover, cover border with corner fleurons, spine decor and title.

The leaves have missing sections in the upper spine, some with loss of text; the majority of the leaves have repaired corners and closed marginal tears. Showing signs of worm damage, with stains from use and age. Ownership note on the colophon page.)
Durling, Sixteenth Century, 4225. - A rare Danish collection of practical remedies and treatment methods for surgeons and barbers, covering not only the treatment of fresh and old wounds but also baths, bloodletting and cupping, as well as medicines available from apothecaries. Owing to its distinctly practical nature, it is an important example of vernacular medical literature in 16th-century Denmark.
