Whittaker 1823. 25,9 x 18 cm. With XXXI plates, in colour, of which 8 are accompanied by maps, plans and 1 table. Title page 1 leaf, 17 pages, 1 blank page. Red half-leather with gold-stamped title on the spine and spine decoration.

(The cover is scuffed and bumped. The spine is almost illegible due to missing sections of leather. Brown stains and discolouration.)

Worms & Baynton-Williams, pp. 739ff. – This is a reprint of the atlas, which was first published in 1812. James Wyld the Elder, who worked as a cartographer, lithographer and globe-maker, was a founding member of the Royal Geographical Society and later became a Royal Geographer.
