The Lahore Museum, founded in 1865 and relocated to its present site in 1894, is the largest and most visited museum in Pakistan, and Brown was its seventh curator. In addition to doors, the collection includes paintings from the Mughal, Sikh and British periods, as well as artifacts from the Indus Valley civilisation.
