ADB XXIX, 204. - Carl Benjamin Hermann, Baron von Rosenberg (1817–1888) was a German naturalist, geographer and zoologist in the service of the Dutch East Indies Army. He spent most of his time in the Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia), where the native Rosenberg’s prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) was named after him.
