Aschoff 1456. Yakushi (1994), p. 296. — First German edition. Prschewalski’s third and “most significant expedition.” Nikolai Mikhailovich Prschewalski was a Russian officer and explorer. Prschewalski died during his fifth expedition in the town of Karakol on Lake Issyk-Kul. Critics accuse Prschewalski of arrogant behavior and racism. Sven Hedin visited his grave in 1891.
