Yakushi L59 a. - Second edition of the travelogue originally published the previous year by Heinemann in London. During a journey to Tibet in 1897, the author was captured and tortured. Despite this ordeal, he returned to Tibet once more and later published this volume, in which he recounts his experiences through hundreds of illustrations and photographs.
